11th OEACPS Summit, the starting signal

The Secretary General of the organization presented the Malabo summit, its main challenges, and the communication plan put in place to support this major event to the press attachés of the ACP embassies in Brussels.

On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, Moussa Batraki, Secretary General of the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS), presented to the press attachés of the ACP embassies in Brussels the issues at stake at the11th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the OACPS, which will take place on March 27 and 29, 2026, in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. The Chadian diplomat also took the opportunity to unveil the communication plan that will accompany the event. 28, and 29, 2026, in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. The Chadian diplomat also took the opportunity to unveil the communication plan that will accompany the Malabo meeting.

With gravity and clarity, he outlined an ambitious communication strategy designed to powerfully convey the voice of the Global South at this historic event. A rigorous and modern communication system

A unified campaign

The Secretary General began by presenting the official website (www.summitoacps.com), a central, straightforward, multilingual platform (French, English, Spanish) that now serves as the single point of entry for all media and institutional stakeholders. This site provides direct access to the detailed program, the accreditation form (official delegations, press, panelists, participants, etc.), various official press releases/documents, the press kit, and a media area with high-definition photographs, videos, and a link to the live broadcast.

The press kit, available in multiple languages, is a comprehensive reference tool structured around the strategic issues addressed by the Summit. A fully unified 360° communication campaign will be rolled out across all institutional media and major social networks (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube), ensuring absolute visual and narrative consistency. Press officers have been formally invited to become key relays for this mobilization effort: massively promoting the website and press kit, organizing national press briefings, facilitating media accreditation in their respective countries, and systematically reporting on media coverage. This direct involvement marks a new stage in the relationship between the Organization and its Member States.

A strong and meaningful visual identity

The official logo of the 11th Summit, combining the number "11" in a monumental totem with the flag of Equatorial Guinea and the emblems of the OEACPS, elegantly embodies the solemnity of the event and the celebration of the Organization's 50th anniversary.

The official poster pays powerful visual tribute to Equatorial Guinea, combining Pico Basile, a major geographical symbol, with ten iconic cultural images of the country (Ceiba, Saint Elizabeth Cathedral, Oyola Bridge, Freedom Tower, etc.). This creation combines modern vector graphics with respect for cultural roots, reflecting the spirit of the Summit: national pride and collective ambition.

A historic moment and a founding narrative

The Secretary General recalled that March 2026 will mark a double historic milestone: the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the OEACPS and the launch of a major strategic overhaul, driven by the Institutional Reform Pact adopted in March 2025.

The central narrative, formulated with force, summarizes the shared ambition: "A transformed and renewed OEACPS, serving inclusive, sustainable, and trust-based multilateralism."

Three pillars structure this vision: Trust, Transparency, and Renewal. The strategic challenges, presented with rigor, focus on three major areas: institutional heritage and renewal, diplomacy and the influence of the Global South, and the economy and climate, with particular attention paid to climate justice for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Sahelian regions.

The Summit's dense and ambitious program includes the Council of Ministers on March 27, the Summit of Heads of State on March 28 and 29, as well as five high-level events:

Business summit,

ACP-EU Round Table on Resource Mobilization,

Youth Forum,

Women's Forum,

PIED Forum.

At the end of this presentation, the Secretary General addressed the press attachés with a solemn message: "You are not just informed... you are partners in the success of the Malabo summit."
